Maharashtra: 75% of students pass SSC, about 15% less than last year

The Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) declared the 2019 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) results on Saturday. This year, there has been a massive drop in the overall pass percentage from the previous year's 89.41 per cent to 75 per cent in 2019. It has 88.83 per cent of pass percentage, followed by Kolhapur with 86.58 per cent and Pune with 82.48 per cent. 1,794 schools across the state achieved a cent per cent pass record. Girls have kept up with the national trend, with an overall pass percentage of 82.82 per cent, whereas the boys have a pass percentage of 72.18 per cent..
