Summary:

From now on, students appearing for Classes 11 and 12 examinations under the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will have a total assessment of 600 marks instead of the previous 650 marks. Water Security will be incorporated in EVS in Class 12 and it will be a separate subject for Classes 9 and 10. The move aims to make students aware of water conservation and environmental factors in the country and globally. Parents are happy, as this will bring the state board students on a par with the other board students during admissions. "It is good that they did not directly apply it to Class 12 students and started it with Class 11..
