24 schools fight it out at maths competition in Mumbai

The advisors involved in it are the professors from BITS- Pilani, Hyderabad and Goa campus; an emeritus professor from IIT Mumbai and a professor from UCLA,USA. This math competition which started in 2014 brings mathematically talented students under one roof to challenge among themselves to bag the Mathematician of the year title.This year 24 schools signed up for the competition. MUMBAI: Infinity, an inter school mathematics competition for the students of Senior Secondary school, first of its kind in India for IB and A level schools, is taking place at Aditya Birla World Academy in collaboration with BITS Pilani, on Monday and Tuesday. Dr.James Tanton, an eminent mathematician from United States will be the chief guest.The two day event will see contests, workshops, talks and presentation of research papers in Mathematics and the award ceremony..
