First-time voters urge citizens to choose wisely

Mumbai | Saturday | 11th February, 2017

Summary:

As first-time voters in the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, college students in the city have started a digital media campaign 'Vote For Mumbai' in order to create awareness among citizens. As the students themselves are first-time voters, they did a lot of research before campaigning and are dishing out facts in a unique way. The students conduct a door-to-door campaign asking voters to make a difference and vote for a better future. A group of over 20 students are doing their bit to make sure citizens turn up in high numbers to vote on February 21. Everyone complains about the issues faced but looking at the last election results, barely 45 per cent of voters actually voted.".
