Karnataka: Forest department authorities rescue three elephants struck in farm pond in Chamarajanagar

MYSURU: Three elephants which were struck in a farm pond in Kanakunduru village on Karnataka-Tamil Nadu border of the Chamarajanagar district in Karnataka were rescued on Saturday noon with the help of a JCB. "They fell inside the pond due to the landslip while drinking water," said Kanneshwar, a local resident.Even though the elephants tried to climb the pond, they couldn't due to the soft soil which was slipping.
