MCC polls: Traffic restrictions around counting centre

Mysuru: As the counting of votes for the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) elections will go on at the Maharani’s Commerce and Management College in Paduvarahalli, city police have issued a traffic directive.City police have banned public vehicles travelling near the counting centre from 6am on Monday. Members of the media will be allowed to park their vehicles at the grounds situated adjacent to the Mahadeshwara temple behind the college. According to city police commissioner A Subrahmanyeswara Rao, all vehicles have been banned from Paduvarahalli Signal Junction to Kalamandira Junction on Mysuru- Hunsur Road, from Hunsur Road Junction near Valmiki Road to Kalidasa Road Junction, From Mathru Mandali Junction to Valmiki Junction on Adi Pampa Road, from St Joseph Convent Junction on Hunsur Road to Paduvarahalli Single Light and from Valmiki Road Junction towards Mathru Mandali Circle.Section 144 will be imposed near the counting centre from 6am on Monday till 6am on Tuesday.The general public are instructed to park their vehicles on both sides of the road from Swami Vivekananda statue on Kalidasa Road to Valmiki Road Junction, Akashvani Circle to Kalidasa Road Junction, Manasagangotri campus grounds, Kalamandir premises and Kukkarahalli lake..
