Discom plans to allow mobile towers on its land

Nagpur: In order to increase its revenue, cash-strapped discom Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co Ltd (MSEDCL) has decided to allow mobile service providers to erect towers on its land on revenue-sharing basis. Revenue-sharing may be either monthly or quarterly.The bidder has to also provide free mobile connectivity (within tower vicinity) from all service providers who are using the mobile tower. Bidder may propose single enterprise-wide model, differential model or location-based model.
