Summary:

The Management Council decision, based on which applications for 92 teaching appointments were invited, was actually taken for non-teaching posts last year. Last week, Kongre had requested the vice-chancellor to put off the recruitment drive and send the matter to the MC for reconsideration in its next meeting. “Also, the issue of pro VC’s illegal appointment is pending with the government. Kongre pointed out that the MC decision of April 17, 2017, is related to non-teaching staff and not teaching posts.Over 700 applications have been received for the 92 advertised posts. It is likely that she wanted to avoid being questioned on sensitive issues,” officials said..
