Nagpur: NGO Yoga Dhanendra Multipurpose Charitable Society in association with the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has launched a campaign to clean and paint walls along Gandhisagar lake. Similarly, walls around the lake will be painted. The paintings will be based on United National Sustainable Development’s 2030 goal.Additional municipal commissioner Ram Joshi and assistant commissioner Smita Kale inaugurated the campaign on the eve of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti on Tuesday.Tanu Varma, Anagha Chauhan and Somesh Bhatwalkar from the NGO provided the details of the project to be executed in eight phases.The NGO started painting walls of Khau Galli from outer part. Also, the cleanliness drive will be undertaken on lake’s surroundings.The NGO will make use of vehicles’ tyres, water bottles and pipes to beautify the water body’s surroundings.Vice-president of United National Sustainable Development Goal Birendra Soni also provided details about their project.Prabhan Chachodiya from Lions Club, Dipa Agrawal, Rajesh Jindal, Kusum Jindal, Vinod Gupta, Shilpa Khaiwale, Vijaya Waghmare and others were present..
