4 arrested for theft at godown, material recovered

Nagpur: Kalamna police’s detection wing has recovered stolen material worth Rs5.26 lakh and also Rs50,000 in cash after arresting four persons, including two brothers, for allegedly stealing cosmetics and tea leaves from a godown at Chikhli Layout. The cops have also seized a light luggage carrier van and a bike. The theft had come to light on October 12.The arrested persons, identified as Ganesh Moudekar, Chetan Moudekar, Avinash Moudekar and his young brother Krishna, had sneaked away with cosmetics and tea leaves worth Rs6.36 lakh and Rs1.10 lakh in cash from the godown.Kalamna police cracked the case with the help of footages from CCTV cameras installed at different places under the Smart City project..
