Vishwa is new guest at Tadoba’s elephant camp

NAGPUR: Vishwa , a male elephant calf, is a new guest at Mohurli in Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR). Nandini born in April 2016 too died.TATR field director NR Praveen said, “We are delighted to have Vishwa in the elephant family.”Both Sushila and Laxmi were brought to TATR in April 2008 from Sironcha forest division in Gadchiroli. Sushila’s first calf Gauri, born in September 2008, succumbed to a fatal infection in January 2012. He too died of EEHV infection in May 2014 when he was just 14 months old. Gajraj and Sushila are used for elephant safari in the park.Gajraj, who was part of the problem tigress T1 capture operation, was recently in the news for trampling a woman in Chhahand village near Ralegaon under Pandharkawda division..
