Summary:

Nagpur: Lok Sabha elections may be six months away but the Congress party this time is leaving no stone unturned. The third day will be reserved for seats in Konkan region. The ground situation in each of the 48 seats will be discussed in the three-day deliberations. Talks with NCP are at an advanced stage and except for couple of seats, it could be a smooth sailing. The NCP, it is learnt is keen on Pune and Yavatmal, seats traditionally contested by the Congress as per the earlier seat-sharing formula. The party is hoping that early preparations would help avoid the last-minute ticket rush. It will start on Thursday at 10.30am with seats in Marathwada region and will be followed post-lunch with a review on western Maharashtra seats. On Day 2, while Vidarbha seats will be reviewed in the morning session, the second session will take up north-Maharashtra constituencies..
