Nagpur: After an interval, Nagpur University restarted its crackdown against colleges operating without teachers and infrastructure by issuing notices to 34 institutions. Despite several reminders from our side, these colleges failed to respond,” pro-VC Pramod Yeole told TOI.Another senior NU official revealed that these colleges had also failed to pay the annual affiliation fees charged by the university. Over the years, TOI had been reporting on how a majority of NU colleges are running sans teachers and infrastructure, due to blessings of the NU authorities and politicians.“We’ve given them (colleges) a month’s time to reply. A majority of these colleges were from arts, commerce and science faculties offering general courses like BA, BCom, BSc, BBA, BCA and others. Even the list of 82 colleges whose branches were stopped from admitting students in PG courses by the NU in May, included engineering colleges like Raisoni, Priyadarshini, Wainganga, JD, Nuva, Gurunanak and others..
