Maoists kill tendu supervisor

Pudo worked as a supervisor at a tendu leaf collection centre. The police are now trying to ascertain what turned the Maoists against him. Nagpur: Atmaram Pudo, 55, was allegedly killed by Maoists by slitting his throat. A native of Khobramenda village, he was whisked away from his residence late on Sunday evening by the Maoists.It’s reliably learnt that Pudo was once close to the rebels and helped them monetarily too. Pudo was found dead on Monday morning near Khobramenda village temple in the north Gadchiroli Sources in Gadchiroli police said the Maoists had left behind a pamphlet on Pudo’s body claiming that he was a police informer and hence it was decided to eliminate him..
