Murthy later put up posters and distributed pamphlets luring citizens with job offers and loans.Police said Murthy recruited several people at his office but no one ever got paid. He also got the office furnished, but is yet to settle the dues of the carpenter, furniture suppliers and others. He later demanded 1% of the amount, along with the cost of stamp duty from every applicant.
