Recently, the water works department submitted a ‘one-time settlement scheme’ for OCW. It will not be additional burden on NMC, instead it will save Rs 500 crore over 20 years. As the civic body does not have funds, the standing committee has decided to delete the reservation.Outgoing standing committee chairman has also extended largesse to big builders, as Kukreja asked town planning department to follow guidelines of Bombay Municipal Corporation Act to levy charges for sanctioning map..
