Summary:
Nagpur: Three ‘Tympanoplasty’ or ear surgeries of tympanic membrane were performed for the first time in Gadchiroli district at the Maa Danteshwari Dawakhana at ‘Search’, run by the Bang couple. These surgeries were part of a much bigger surgical camp where 32 operations were performed.The three ear surgeries were carried out by two Nagpur doctors, Dr Ajay Deshpande and Dr Praful Sakhare. To help resolve their pain, we at Search started conducting camps for hernia, appendectomy, anal, thyroid, abdominal, vaginal hysterectomy, spines, cyst, and tympanoplasty surgeries . The surgeries were done using a high-tech instrument called ‘ENT microscope’, which was specifically procured by Search for this purpose.
