VTA appeals President, CJI & CEC to stop ‘open bribery’ by political parties

Summary:

VTA requested President, Chief Justice of India and Chief Election Commissioner to pass suitable orders to stop such open bribery by political parties. VTA strongly objected to such trend, wherein political parties offer annual contribution to citizens from taxpayers’ money before elections, which undoubtedly means that this is open bribery to woo voters. And if at all such political parties are much concerned about such families, please contribute such amount from their own political funds rather than from taxpayers’ money. 72,000 annually to 5 crore families, so now the next political party in line will surely offer more to attract voters.
