Officers unwilling for posting in eastern parts of state: DGP

“It is the duty of the police officers to provide basic training to the trainees in the training centres. “The e-academy and virtual classrooms started by the MPA are first of its kind in the country for the police force. Nashik: Director general of police (DGP) Satish Mathur, who came to Nashik for a day’s visit on Saturday, regretted that officers were often reluctant to take postings in eastern parts of the state.“The police officers are not ready to take postings in districts like Gadchiroli, Chandrapur and parts of Yawatmal in Vidarbha region. The officers can use the online examination system available at the e-academy,” he said.The 1981-batch IPS officer also felicitated about 70 students in another programme organized at Shankaracharya Dr Kurtakoti Sabhagruha. The officers of the rank of deputy superintendent currently undergoing training in Maharashtra Police Academy (MPA) will however have to be ready to take up the job,” Mathur said on Saturday.The officer also expressed displeasure over officers unwilling to take up the postings in training centres..
