Violent Maratha bandh blocks Eway targets industrial units

PUNE: The state-wide bandh called by the Maratha Kranti Morcha (MKM) on Thursday witnessed another round of violence in Pune, Nashik and Marathwada. Around 45 protesters were detained.Near Chandni Chowk, more than 1,000 stone-pelting protesters blocked the NH-4 Pune bypass that connects Katraj to Dehu Road for more than four hours from 11am. They assaulted security guards, employees and even senior executives.A police vehicle, a private truck and a fire tender were set ablaze. Some of them damaged a glass cabin and the compound wall lights of the collectorate while others sneaked into the premises..
