Niphad farmer cheated of Rs 45 crore by Mumbai firm

Nashik: Four Mumbai-based people have allegedly cheated a farmer from Pimpalgaon to the tune of Rs 4.61 crore between 2014 and 2018. Patil also took agricultural goods from other farmers from around Pimpalgaon and sent it to Srinathji Foods Agro Pvt Ltd.According to the complainant, the directors of the firm cheated him of Rs 4.61 crore. “Soon a team will be sent to Mumbai to trace the concerned suspect involved in the cheating case,” he said.A large number of farmers from Nashik have reportedly got cheated recently. “They have an office at Kakad Niketan building in Sion, Koliwada, Mumbai, bearing the name Srinathji Foods Agro Pvt Ltd,” he said.Subsequently, as per the deal, Patil started sending his produce to them.
