Swine flu claims one more life; toll 19 so far this year

Nashik: On Monday, the death toll from swine flu in Nashik district reached 19 this year with the death of 45-year-old Rajendra Page from Ambegaon, Dindori. Gite told the health workers that while spreading information about swine flu, it was important to not cause fear and panic. Over 28,000 people have been screened for the disease in a fortnight.Students in schools across the district will be checked for symptoms of swine flu during the morning assembly session. Pamphlets, handbills, etc about swine flu will be distributed among students.Naresh Gite said the health department workers should make household visits to check if someone was suffering from cold, cough or flu like symptoms. Parents too will be made aware about the disease.Awareness will be spread about washing hands regularly, observing etiquette while coughing and sneezing, etc..
