State PWD plans Rs 480crore road works pothole repair in district

The work will cost Rs 42 crore.“Since last year the government has decided to finish the work earlier. Works on flyovers could take longer time, said Ranjeet Hande, superintending engineer, PWD Nashik division.The PWD maintains 4,010-km roads in the district and 2,330km of the same is riddled with potholes.The work on filling the potholes has begun and the PWD has repaired 300km of roads. These works will also be completed by the end of October,” the official said. Neither were these roads included in budget works which concerns longer stretches..
