Nashik: Lord Ganapati got a grand farewell in the city on Sunday.Thousands of devotees in colourful attires accompanied the decorated vehicles carrying the idols along the five-kilometre immersion route. They danced to the beats of traditional dhol-tasha played for the 21 prominent Ganesh mandals of the city. “As requested by us, none of the mandals played with ‘gulal’. In 2016, 17 cases were lodged for playing the DJ system on the immersion day.
