3 arrested for robbing truck driver in Madsangvi

Nashik: The Adgaon police have arrested three people for allegedly looting a truck driver of his cash and cell phone on Monday in Madsangvi area of the city.While two of the suspects were nabbed within six hours after the crime was committed, the third suspect was arrested on Tuesday night.The truck driver, Laxman Bandu Kadam, was travelling on the Aurangabad highway when the suspect trio waylaid his vehicle with a motorcycle near Madsangvi village. The suspects then thrash Kadam with a wooden stick and snatched his cell phone and cash Rs 1,300 before fleeing.After the incident, the driver reached Adgaon police station and lodged a complaint against the trio. The bike used for committing the crime has also been seized.Investigating officer assistant police inspector Yogesh Patil said the third suspect Sandeep Khandave (21), a resident of Madsangvi, was arrested on Tuesday night..
