NASHIK: In the recent Triathlon event held in Goa on January 13, city-based Neeta Narang and Nilesh Zawar completed the event successfully and became Half Iron Man The event, organised by Endura Sports Club Goa , included 1.9 km swimming in the sea, 90 km cycling and 21 km running. She completed 600 km Brevet Cycling recently and became Super Randonneur. Nilesh participated in the open category for men and completed the event in 7 hours and 33 minutes. The total participants were 61.This is the first Triathlon of total 113 kms in the country including swimming in the sea.Neeta is a banker and the first woman from Nashik to be Audax Club Cycling Super Randonneur. Sportspersons from across the world are known to participate in the event.Neeta participated in the open category for women and completed the event in 8 hours, 54 minutes and 41 seconds..
