Patient on dialysis jumps to death from hospital

Nashik: In the second such incident in less than a month, a patient on dialysis jumped to his death from the third floor of the regional referral hospital at Shalimar on Saturday morning. Doctors said such incidents leave staff in trauma and affect other patients too.On January 12, a 52-year-old patient on dialysis at the referral hospital committed suicide by jumping from the third floor. The man acted without warning, pulling the tubes out of his body and rushing to the window to jump off. Normal creatinine level in blood is from .8 to 1.4 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dl) of blood; his creatinine level was 11.”The patient had undergone dialysis in four sessions over the past nine days.
