No onion auction for six days

NASHIK: The Lasalgaon Agriculture Produce Market Committee ( APMC ) will remain closed for six days from March 26 due to the financial year-ending exercise by the traders. The minimum and maximum prices were Rs 200 and Rs 740 per quintal, respectively, when around 7,000 quintal onions were auctioned.Meanwhile, the price of summer onions was Rs 800 per quintal. They have informed that they would not participate in auction for six days," said Jaydatta Holkar, chairman of the APMC.The average wholesale price of late kahrif onions was Rs 550 per quintal on Friday, the last working day.
