Police hands over two-and- a-half acres of land to court

NASHIK: The Nashik police recently handed over two-and- a-half acres of land to the District and Sessions Court .The process of handing over the land was underway over the past few months. It is the most convenient place for the people.Hence, the members of the Nashik Bar Association had insisted on providing the police commissionerate's land for expansion of the court premises. A PIL in this regard was filed by advocate Kaka Ghuge four years ago making the Nashik Bar Association one of the petitioners in the case. The court is located adjacent to the collector's office and close to the Central Bus Stand. Through the PIL, the lawyer had requested that the proposed landwith the police department located on backside of the court premises be given to the court.The lawyers had stressed the need for the convenience of people..
