Seven Noida roads to be made dust-free

NOIDA: Nearly a year after UP Principal Secretary Industries Alok Sinha had asked the horticulture department of Noida to draw up a plan for ‘dust-free’ city, Noida Authority has finally swung into action. “In the first phase we have decided to take up roads in sector 82(4.5 kms), sector 90 and 138 (2.29 kms), sector 93B (4kms), sector 137 (5kms), Hosiery complex (28 kms) and phase-II (12 kms),” Mishra said. We will also ensuring strict action against anyone creating dust pollution," he added. “These stretches witnesses maximum dust and air pollution in the city,” he explained.“The roads will be planted on both sides with grass and plants to ensure dust free zones,” said Ombeer Singh Director Horticulture , Noida Authority. In order to make the city ‘dust-free’ the horticulture department has identified the 7 main roads and will convert them into model ‘green’ streets..
