One-way, a rule motorists don’t like in Indirapuram

Summary:

Ghaziabad: Following the inauguration of the Hindon Elevated Road in March this year, which connects Raj Nagar Extension to Delhi, traffic police made the road connecting Hindon barrage to Kanawani bridge in Indirapuram one-way to avoid wrong-side driving by motorists. This potholed road is quite narrow and meant for traffic moving from Vasundhara to GT road. However, all sorts of heavy vehicles, including trucks and buses, besides cars and motorcycles move in both directions. “Around 100 constables will soon join the traffic wing and once that happens, cops will be deputed in two shifts so that the stretch is never left unmanned.” I have seen even parents ferrying their children to schools driving in the wrong direction on both sides of roads running parallel to Hindon canal in the morning..
