PNB heist: 5 investigating officers in 1 year, not an arrest made, not a penny found

They said the Kanpur burglary was the only one they had committed in UP. Another FIR was lodged subsequently against bank officials following a complaint by the customers.The lockers of the bank had been found broken when officials had opened it on June 12 last year. Robbers had drilled a hole in a wall that had its back towards a closed factory and decamped with cash and jewellery possibly during the weekend when the bank was closed. In March this year, a team led by the present investigating officer, Gajendra Pal Singh, went to Kanpur after a gang was picked up for committed a burglary in a Union Bank of India branch.
