Noida: After missing two deadlines in the past two years, the six-lane bridge parallel to the existing Okhla Barrage near Kalindi Kunj is finally on the verge of completion. It will also have a central verge and pedestrian pathways on each side.The new bridge runs between the existing Okhla bridge and the Magenta line metro route. The bridge will be ready latest by November this year, Noida Authority officials said on Friday.The Rs 120cr bridge, commissioned in 2014, was to be readied by August 2016. However, the deadline was later extended to March 2017, and then November 2018.Once opened, it would provide respite to thousands of commuters travelling between Delhi, Noida and Faridabad daily.At present, the existing Kalindi Kunj bridge is the only link between Noida and south Delhi.
