Noida: The developers of the two six-storey buildings that collapsed in Shahberi village had used substandard material for their construction, police have mentioned in the FIR filed against 24 persons on Wednesday. Investigations revealed that the under-construction apartment was being developed by J K Homes Pvt Ltd.

Pankaj Goyal, Manish Goyal, Elin Gupta, Ganga Shankar Dwivedi, Dinesh, Sanjeev Kumar and Sonu Pathak were among those associated with the development.Salim Meeruti and his associates Nitin Tyagi, Kailash Tyagi, Prashant Sharma and others developed a similar project in the neighbourhood, the other building that collapsed. While the owner of the newly built six-storey building has been identified as Salim, a resident of Meerut who runs a dispensary there, the owner of the under-construction project has been identified as Ganga Shankar Dwivedi, who has been arrested.Police are on the lookout for Salim.The accused are mostly brokers and relatives of Dwivedi and Salim who were involved in the construction of the two projects.In the FIR, Rajendra Kumar, a senior sub-inspector of Bisrakh police station, stated that the collapse created a scare in the neighbourhood and people started fleeing from neighbouring houses..
