Greater Noida: CCTV footage retrieved from the premises of the Greater Noida school has established that the lifguard deployed at its swimming pool had indulged in “bad touch” with the three-year-old child who was allegedly raped on July 12, police have said.Though many areas are not covered by CCTV cameras, one footage shows the accused following the girl towards a portion of the swimming pool and she returning in an “unstable state,” an officer said.Manoj Pant, SHO of Surajpur, told TOI that from the CCTV footage, it is clear that the accused, Chandi Das, had touched the girl inappropriately inside the swimming pool at least twice.“The corridor between the swimming pool and the classroom is not covered in the footage. The other parts are not covered under CCTV,” he said.Meanwhile, taking a cue from the murder case in a Gurgaon school in which Haryana police had booked the members of school management under Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act, the parents in the Greater Noida school have also demanded that the management and principal of the school too be booked under the provision. They should be made the prime accused in the case as the crime took place due to their negligence and indications from the child’s parents have been ignored,” said one of the parents. As the ADM asked them to meet SSP Ajay Pal Sharma as the criminal part was being dealt with by the local police, the parents went to meet the SSP.They, however, got to meet only SP (rural) Ashish Srivastava who said police would go by its investigation in the case. The provision deals with cruelty against children.Over 100 parents gathered at City Park on Saturday morning to discuss the issue and later moved to the school where they staged a protest demanding that police book the school management in the case.Following this, they went to the office of the additional district magistrate (administration) Kumar Vineet who is heading a magisterial probe into the incident.“We want the police to book the school management under Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act as they have not followed the guidelines of the Supreme Court, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights and the CBSE..
