Ghaziabad gets a plant to treat garbage collected from religious places daily

GHAZIABAD: Waste generated from religious places like temples are often dumped in rivers, causing pollution. To put an end to this menace, the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation on Saturday inaugurated a plant in Sai Upvan area to convert waste into compost. The machine at the plant, which will treat up to five tonnes of waste, cost us Rs 15 lakh and we spent another Rs 13 lakh for building infrastructure.
