NOIDA: Commuters travelling from Delhi towards Noida and vice versa faced long snarls as a truck loaded with sand broke down a little before the Okhla police Chowki in Delhi.Authorities could remove the truck only around 12:45pm as a crane failed to carry it due to the extra load.While the Delhi traffic police could not send its crane for removal of the truck from the area due to vehicles lining up behind the truck, the Noida traffic police sent a crane to remove the truck but could not do so.Traffic inspector VS Chauhan said the truck’s axle had broken down and it could not be removed from the area as it was loaded.The jam spilled over to the Mahamaya flyover as commuters got stuck at both the carriageways of the Mahamaya-Kalindi Kunj route.
