Noida okays Rs 100cr to link power stns, expand lines

NOIDA: In an effort to ensure that there are no trippings or outages , the Noida Authority has sanctioned Rs 100 crore to expand electricity lines in various sectors and also to interlink different power stations in its area. Superintending engineer, PVVNL, Vivek Aggarwal said the power department had made the proposal to the Noida Authority to interlink the sub-stations some time ago. “The Noida Authority should have interlinked the sub-stations earlier. The Authority has already started expanding 33kV power lines from these two stations to sectors like 83, 82, 93, 142, 137, 153, 108, etc. Earlier, the UP government had announced Noida as a ‘no tripping zone’ on August 15, 2018.Noida’s monthly power consumption is 400 million units..
