GHAZIABAD: The director-general of UP police, O P Singh, inaugurated a state-of-the-art forensic laboratory on Friday for investigation of cases pertaining to Noida and Ghaziabad among other districts in the Meerut range. The facility, located in Niwadi area of Ghaziabad, is the fifth forensic laboratory in the state.Seven departments have already started functioning in the laboratory, including crime scene management, serology, toxicology and documentation. By 2019, the laboratory will have facilities for DNA testing, NARCO testing, cyberforensics, acoustics and ballistics,” said the DGP.
