GNIDA to hire drones to study Pari Chowk jams

Greater Noida: GNIDA is planning to hire drones from private companies to collect data for regulating urban services like traffic, sanitation and encroachment. The Authority is also planning to re-carpet the 3.3-km stretch from Pari Chowk towards Noida Expressway. “Pari Chowk is a major crossing and witnesses snarls daily. The Authority intends to focus on decongesting Pari Chowk first, where drones will be utilised to take photographs and assess peak times and choke points.GNIDA chief Narendra Bhooshan said while talks are on with private companies to hire drones, it is likely to be finalised by the end of this year or mid-January.
