‘Call centre’ organises virus attacks on US, Canada PCs

When a user clicked on the message, his system automatically got infected with a virus and operations slowed down. A case has been registered against the six under Section 420 (cheating) of the IPC and several provisions of the IT Act. Both had been working as directors of the company for the past six months. They then asked the victims to pay anything between $99 and $600 (Rs 7,000-43,000) to unlock the computers or repair them, as the case may be.
