Residents in Noida sectors 34 and 50 demand park upkeep

NOIDA: RWAs of sectors 50 and 34 have demanded upkeep of green belt and sector parks from Noida Authority. Lack of upkeep around the drain has led to overgrown shrubs, grass and mud mounds leading to mosquito menace for neighbouring apartments. “He will now be submitting an estimate for the job required following which we expect work to begin soon as per his assurance,” said Jain. The area is about 20 sq ft in width and stretches for about less than a kilometre. While the main drain in sector 34 is surrounded by about 20 sq ft area of overgrown shrubs and plants – presenting increasing mosquito menace for adjacent societies like Udaigiri and Dhawalgiri apartments; the central park in sector 50 has broken benches, old broken tiles on walking tracks and swings along with lack of grass upkeep..
