69 arrested in 3 hours of operation ‘All Out’

“In the three-hour long drive, 40 people were arrested in Noida and 29 in Greater Noida. Those arrested were either carrying illegal arms or illicit alcohol or had a criminal history,” said a police spokesperson. “Some 329 vehicles were seized during the drive after their owners failed to produce documents,” said the spokesperson. NOIDA: As many as 69 people were arrested and more than 300 vehicles seized in a special operation , named ‘All Out’, by Gautam Budh Nagar police on Thursday.The operation is the second significant drive to rein in absconding criminals and errant drivers since Vaibhav Krishna took over as the new police chief of the district, and comes days after police arrested 113 criminals across the district in a two-day operation named Vajra.The Vajra operation will continue over the next few weeks, police have said.In the ‘All Out’ operation, the SHOs of all 22 police stations in the district held a special checking drive from 12pm to 3pm. “We have recovered two country-made pistols, one revolver, 12 bullets, 10 cartons of illicit alcohol and two stolen motorcycles from their possession.”Apart from those arrested, police imposed a penalty to the tune of Rs 90,000 on 1,291 vehicle owners for violating traffic rules..
