GREATER NOIDA: A 38-year-old security guard at a mobile manufacturing unit was allegedly shot at by car-borne assailants around 11.15pm in Ecotech 1 area on Thursday.The victim has been identified as Dhiresh Kumar, a resident of Hardoi. He sustained gunshot wounds in his abdomen and his condition is said to be critical.Police said the accused arrived at the factory in a car and asked Kumar to guide them for an address. He has been admitted to the ICU. After Kumar told them the route, they shot at him and fled, said another guard, Hari Om Singh.The unidentified men have been booked under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of IPC.“We received information about the shooting at 11.30 pm after which a team reached the spot and rushed the victim to Kailash Hospital in Kasna. Investigations revealed that the assailants were unknown to the victim and it appears that they shot at him randomly,” said SHO of Ecotech 1 police station, Farmood Ali Pundhir.A hospital representative said, “The bullet has been removed from his body, but he is critical.” Meanwhile, cops are on a hunt to nab the accused..
