NOIDA: Gautam Budh Nagar MP and Union minister Mahesh Sharma on Thursday received BJP ticket to contest from Gautam Budh Nagar Lok Sabha Constituency. He started his political journey as a party worker and was fielded as a Lok Sabha candidate from Gautam Budh Nagar in 2009. This time he received 77226 votes (36.87%) and defeated BSP’s Omdutt Sharma who had bagged 49582 votes (23.67%).The assembly election win strengthened Sharma and he was again fielded in the 2014 Lok Sabha.
