Ghaziabad: Former BSP MLA Suresh Bansal’s name was announced as the SP-BSP alliance candidate from Ghaziabad by the Samajwadi Party ( SP ) on Friday.He replaced Surendra Kumar Munni , who had been named the candidate from here a week ago. Bansal, on the other hand, comes from the Vaishya community and wields clout among the business class.Bansal was the MLA from Ghaziabad between 2012 and 2017. The sources said both Sharma and Munni are Brahmins and were likely to have eaten into each other’s vote shares. He lost his seat in the 2017 Assembly election to the BJP’s Atul Garg.
