The project has been launched as part of a CSR initiative by a private hospital in the city.
The traffic police department has given masks and PPE to drivers and the helpline will be managed by it.
The auto drivers have been trained to put oxygen masks on patients and check pulse rate.
Narca president Lal Babu said the three-wheelers will be able to ferry one patient and an attendant at a time.
