PWC turns 150 students celebrate

PATNA: Patna Women’s College students on Saturday participated in the ‘Apostolic Carmel Congregation’ celebrations organised to mark the college’s sesquicentennial year.The celebrations began with prayer services, which were followed by a prayer dance. Chief guest Bhavna Shekhar, a senior teacher of Notre Dame Academy, told the students, “Modern farming involving use of pesticides and fertilizers has resulted in soil quality degradation. Also, he will present a report on the development of the school and achievements of its students.Tarumitra: Around 200 students participated in the two-day paddy transplantation festival, organized by Tarumitra, on its concluding day on Saturday.The students also took an oath to protect the earth. Organic farming has, therefore, become the need of the hour.” A special dance with the help of a PowerPoint presentation was performed by second-year students.College principal Sr Marie Jessie delivered the Carmel message and narrated the journey of Mother Veronica for laying the foundation of Apostolic Carmel and its extension all over the world..
