PATNA: Facing criticism over the law and order issue in the state, chief minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday asked the top police officers to take stern and fast action against the criminals. He also ordered for a weekly review of land dispute cases by the circle officers with the station house officers (SHOs) of police stations concerned. “It has been often seen that cases related to land disputes result in violence and crime,” he said. He told the police officers to list the requirement of vehicles and asked them to analyse not only the number but also the nature of crime. He also said policemen would not only be suspended but criminal cases would be lodged against them if they there was direct evidence of taking bribe against them..
