BEGUSARAI: Hundreds of people have fallen sick at Patehi village under Chhaurahi block in the district after consuming ‘prasad’ at a Vishwakarma puja celebration on Monday.Soon after consuming the ‘prasad’, people started complaining of severe stomach pain, diarrhoea and vomiting. Later, around 40 patients were rushed to the nearby Khodabandpur primary health centre. According to in charge medical officer of Khodabandpur PHC Anil Kumar , “About 10 of them had acute dehydration. People initially thronged the local health facilities at Chhaurahi. However, their condition is now stable.”.
